Use a password manager, unique passwords per service and two-factor authentication on email, social and payment platforms. SMS recovery is better than nothing, but TOTP apps or hardware keys are stronger when available.

Avoid sensitive logins on public Wi‑Fi without a trusted VPN; prefer mobile data for critical operations.
